Uncle Brent took some shots on the party day with Mia in her party dress...well mostly in her party dress, its hard to keep these things on while you're crawling around!!

The Entertainer

Mia was keeping us amused all morning with her new chair. She loves it! She gets in, cracks up laughing and gives herself a clap! Paul also discovered this morning that if it is positioned close to the big couch then she uses it as a stepping block to climb up.

The Party!

Mia's party was great, she got spoilt as per usual and had fun playing with all her friends. I mistook myself for Martha Stewart and decided to make her a fairy toodstool cake - might be a first and a last! It was great to catch up with everyone and to see the really little bubba's make an appearance Angus (3months) and Paige (1month) so cute. Max and Molly had a good time playing (mostly in the empty boxes and so forth!). Sally the socialite had already been to a party that morning but entertained me with her requests of "more sausage, more sausage?" She got so many awesome presents and had a good time so thanks to everyone who shared in her day. Once the kids were in bed the adults kept drinking but the last photo is for Edith to show that we didn't lead your boy astray! I don't have all the photos developed yet so I will put more on later.

Hi'ya Matthew

Mia's been getting to know her big second Cousin Matthew from Aussie. He is in NZ for nearly 10days. He better not be teaching Mia to talk with an Aussie accent! (spose we could say she is multilingual now with the whole Aussie/Kiwi/Scots thing)

I'm One!!!!!!!!

Can't believe its been a year! Had such a cool morning opening presents and cards. All the cards from Scotland arrived on time and we had fun reading them all and hanging them up. Thanks to everyone for their messages and money, we will be going toy shopping soon!
Also a big Happy Birthday to Marcus from us, sending you kisses!

Birthday with the Animals

Pat and John took Mia to the zoo for her birthday. They weren't sure if she would be all that interested in the animals but she loved it! They were in time to watch the giraffes have lunch too.
On the way home they stopped in to see Great Nana Dutton for a kiss.

Birthday Dinner & Cake!

Mia's Birthday dinner was at Nana Pat and Poppa JC's house. Everyone came, all the Grandparents, Craig, Amy, Matthew, Brad, Alannah, Mark and Caz. She got spoilt with loads of cool presents (we need a bigger house already!!) and even had fairy wings and a headwreath (hard to keep it on long enough for a photo). We all got to eat cake before dinner so that Mia could have some too. Was a nice way to end her birthday day. Thanks for dinner Nana Pat x
